Who it's for / contractors / remodeling contractors

Websites for remodeling contractors, built around the before and after photo and a real price range.

Nobody hires a remodeler from a paragraph. They look at the kitchen you finished last month, check the license, and ask what it cost. The site has to answer all three before the first call.

Fouro Digital builds websites for remodeling contractors in San Jose and across the Bay Area, including Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont and Gilroy. The B-2 residential remodeling license is new, most homeowners have never heard of it, and almost no B-2 contractor website explains it. Yours will. I am a one-person studio in San Jose: I design, write and launch every site myself, in English and Spanish, for $2,100 fixed for the eight-page Growth build, with Google setup included. Call or text (408) 620-4106. Esta página en español.

What your customers actually type into Google

I check this against real search results in San Jose before I write a page, because the page has to match the search or it does not show. For remodeling contractors the pattern is consistent:

The pages a remodeling contractor website needs, and why each one exists

One page per service, because each service is its own search. A single "Services" page with everything on it ranks for nothing.

Mistakes I fix on remodeling contractor websites

The honest part about remodeling contractors and Google

Houzz and Yelp own the top of page one for "kitchen remodel" in most Bay Area cities, and a new site does not change that. The site wins the searches with your name in them, the cost searches, and the long ones like "tub to shower conversion sunnyvale" that nobody else bothered to write a page for. And it is where Houzz sends the homeowner to check you are real before they message you.

Your license on the page: CSLB B-2

The B-2 Residential Remodeling Contractor classification lets you take on existing-home remodels that involve three or more trades, without the B license, but it does not cover structural work like load-bearing walls or additions beyond its scope. A page that explains that plainly builds more trust than one that hides it. Homeowners check the license number on the CSLB site before they call, so it goes in the footer of every page, on the home page and on the contact page, next to the bond and insurance line. If you hold more than one classification, each one is named on the service page it covers. See every California contractor classification I build for.

Cities I build remodeling contractor websites for

San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont, Gilroy and the rest of the Bay Area. A remodeler working Sunnyvale, Santa Clara and San Jose gets three short city pages, because "kitchen remodel Sunnyvale" is its own search with its own map pack. Areas I serve. Related: websites for general contractors, websites for tile contractors, websites for cabinet and finish carpentry contractors.

What it costs for a remodeling contractor

Most remodeling contractors fit the Growth tier at $2,100, fixed. That includes Search Visibility Setup, Spanish pages, and the monthly plan starts after launch. A remodeler with kitchens, baths and garage conversions is an eight-page Growth build. If you also do flooring or painting as standalone jobs, those are extra pages, quoted by the page. A single-service remodeling contractor can fit Starter at $1,500.

A $525 deposit starts it and you see a preview in 24 to 48 hours. See exactly what Growth includes.

Questions remodeling contractors ask me

Who builds websites for remodeling contractors in the Bay Area?

Fouro Digital, a one-person web design studio in San Jose, builds websites for remodeling contractors in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont, Gilroy and the rest of the Bay Area. Most remodeling contractors fit the $2,100 Growth build: eight pages, English and Spanish, Google Business Profile and Search Visibility Setup included. Call or text (408) 620-4106.

How much does a website for a remodeling contractor cost in the Bay Area?

At Fouro, $2,100 fixed for the Growth build, which is what most remodeling contractors need: home, kitchen, bath, one more project page, a gallery, reviews and contact, in English and Spanish. A $525 deposit starts it and you see a preview in 24 to 48 hours. The monthly plan covers hosting, domain, email and updates, with no contract. A single-service remodeling contractor can fit Starter at $1,500.

Should I publish prices on a remodeling site?

A range, yes. "Most kitchens we do run $45,000 to $90,000" filters out the people who were going to waste a site visit, and it ranks for the cost search. You never publish a fixed price, and you never publish a range you would not stand behind on the call.

Can the gallery pull from my Instagram?

The photos go on the site itself, compressed and named, because Instagram does not show in Google. The site links to your Instagram so people who want to see more can.

How do I handle the B-2 question when homeowners ask?

The site does it for you: a short plain-English paragraph on the license page saying what B-2 covers and what you bring a B contractor in for. Most homeowners never ask again.

What about Houzz and Yelp?

Keep them if they send work. The site is the thing you own; those are rented. The site links to your profiles so the reviews count both ways.
