Websites for pool contractors, built to win the remodel and replaster searches the big pool builders do not want.

A new pool is a six-figure decision made over months. A replaster or a pool remodel is a $20,000 decision made this spring. The site has to be built for both, with a gallery that looks like the backyard the homeowner wants and a range on every page.

Fouro Digital builds websites for pool contractors in San Jose and across the Bay Area, including Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont and Gilroy. The big Bay Area pool builders run ads for new construction and ignore remodels, so a C-53 contractor who publishes real pages for replaster, tile and coping, and equipment takes the searches with the shortest sales cycle. I am a one-person studio in San Jose: I design, write and launch every site myself, in English and Spanish, for $2,100 fixed for the eight-page Growth build, with Google setup included. Call or text (408) 620-4106. Esta página en español.

What your customers actually type into Google

I check this against real search results in San Jose before I write a page, because the page has to match the search or it does not show. For pool contractors the pattern is consistent:

The pages a pool contractor website needs, and why each one exists

One page per service, because each service is its own search. A single "Services" page with everything on it ranks for nothing.

Mistakes I fix on pool contractor websites

The honest part about pool contractors and Google

For "pool builders" the ads and the top of the page belong to the companies building 100 pools a year, and a site does not change that. What it does is rank for replaster, remodel, tile and coping, the cost searches and your name, where the homeowner with an existing pool is looking for someone who answers the phone. Those jobs pay for the site in the first month.

Your license on the page: CSLB C-53

The C-53 Swimming Pool license covers construction and remodeling of pools and spas, and every pool permit in the South Bay lists the licensed contractor by number. Homeowners check the license number on the CSLB site before they call, so it goes in the footer of every page, on the home page and on the contact page, next to the bond and insurance line. If you hold more than one classification, each one is named on the service page it covers. See every California contractor classification I build for.

Cities I build pool contractor websites for

San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont, Gilroy and the rest of the Bay Area. A pool contractor working San Jose, Los Gatos, Saratoga and Morgan Hill gets short city pages, because "pool remodel Saratoga" is a separate search with a bigger budget behind it. Areas I serve. Related: websites for landscaping contractors, websites for tile contractors, websites for concrete contractors.

What it costs for a pool contractor

Most pool contractors fit the Growth tier at $2,100, fixed. That includes Search Visibility Setup, Spanish pages, and the monthly plan starts after launch. A pool contractor with new construction, remodels, decks and equipment is an eight-page Growth build. A replaster-only business is usually Starter at $1,500. A single-service pool contractor can fit Starter at $1,500.

A $525 deposit starts it and you see a preview in 24 to 48 hours. See exactly what Growth includes.

Questions pool contractors ask me

Who builds websites for pool contractors in the Bay Area?

Fouro Digital, a one-person web design studio in San Jose, builds websites for pool contractors in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont, Gilroy and the rest of the Bay Area. Most pool contractors fit the $2,100 Growth build: eight pages, English and Spanish, Google Business Profile and Search Visibility Setup included. Call or text (408) 620-4106.

How much does a website for a pool contractor cost in the Bay Area?

At Fouro, $2,100 fixed for the Growth build, which is what most pool contractors need: home, new pools, remodeling, decks and equipment, spas, a gallery, reviews and contact, in English and Spanish. A $525 deposit starts it and you see a preview in 24 to 48 hours. The monthly plan covers hosting, domain, email and updates, with no contract. A single-service pool contractor can fit Starter at $1,500.

Should I publish prices for a new pool?

A range, yes. "Most new gunite pools in the South Bay run $90,000 to $160,000" ranks for the cost search and stops the homeowner who thought it was $30,000 from wasting your site visit. You set the numbers; I will not publish one you have not confirmed.

Can the site handle a remodel lead differently from a new pool lead?

Yes. The form asks which one, and the email you get says so in the subject line, so you know before you open it.

How many photos do I need?

Twenty finished pools and ten remodel before and after pairs is a strong start. Phone photos work if the water is clean and the light is good. I compress and name every one.

What about Yelp and Houzz?

Keep them if they send work. The site is the thing you own; those are rented. The site links to your profiles so the reviews count both ways.
