Who it's for / contractors / paving contractors

Websites for paving contractors, built so the property manager searching "parking lot repaving" finds you before the national chain.

Paving has a homeowner customer with a driveway and a commercial customer with a parking lot, and they search differently. The site speaks to both, with a page per job type and a range on each, and a commercial contact line that answers.

Fouro Digital builds websites for paving contractors in San Jose and across the Bay Area, including Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont and Gilroy. A C-12 earthwork and paving contractor usually gets most of its revenue from commercial work found by property managers searching at their desks, so the site is built to be found by them and to be the one they call for a bid. I am a one-person studio in San Jose: I design, write and launch every site myself, in English and Spanish, for $2,100 fixed for the eight-page Growth build, with Google setup included. Call or text (408) 620-4106. Esta página en español.

What your customers actually type into Google

I check this against real search results in San Jose before I write a page, because the page has to match the search or it does not show. For paving contractors the pattern is consistent:

The pages a paving contractor website needs, and why each one exists

One page per service, because each service is its own search. A single "Services" page with everything on it ranks for nothing.

Mistakes I fix on paving contractor websites

The honest part about paving contractors and Google

For "paving contractor" the national chains and the companies with 20 trucks hold the top of the page, and a site does not change that. What it does is rank for sealcoating, parking lot repair, driveway cost, grading, the cities you work and your name, which is what the property manager searches after your truck is seen on a job next door.

Your license on the page: CSLB C-12

The C-12 Earthwork and Paving license covers grading, excavation, asphalt and paving, and commercial clients and public agencies will not accept a bid without the number on it. Homeowners check the license number on the CSLB site before they call, so it goes in the footer of every page, on the home page and on the contact page, next to the bond and insurance line. If you hold more than one classification, each one is named on the service page it covers. See every California contractor classification I build for.

Cities I build paving contractor websites for

San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont, Gilroy and the rest of the Bay Area. A paving contractor working San Jose, Milpitas, Fremont and Gilroy gets short city pages, because "parking lot paving Fremont" is a separate search from a different set of property managers. Areas I serve. Related: websites for landscaping contractors, websites for concrete contractors, websites for demolition contractors.

What it costs for a paving contractor

Most paving contractors fit the Growth tier at $2,100, fixed. That includes Search Visibility Setup, Spanish pages, and the monthly plan starts after launch. A paving contractor with lots, sealcoating, driveways and grading is an eight-page Growth build. A driveway-only business is usually Starter at $1,500. A single-service paving contractor can fit Starter at $1,500.

A $525 deposit starts it and you see a preview in 24 to 48 hours. See exactly what Growth includes.

Questions paving contractors ask me

Who builds websites for paving contractors in the Bay Area?

Fouro Digital, a one-person web design studio in San Jose, builds websites for paving contractors in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont, Gilroy and the rest of the Bay Area. Most paving contractors fit the $2,100 Growth build: eight pages, English and Spanish, Google Business Profile and Search Visibility Setup included. Call or text (408) 620-4106.

How much does a website for a paving contractor cost in the Bay Area?

At Fouro, $2,100 fixed for the Growth build, which is what most paving contractors need: home, parking lots, sealcoating, driveways, grading, a gallery, reviews and contact, in English and Spanish. A $525 deposit starts it and you see a preview in 24 to 48 hours. The monthly plan covers hosting, domain, email and updates, with no contract. A single-service paving contractor can fit Starter at $1,500.

Should the site have a separate commercial section?

Yes. Commercial searches are different words and a different buyer. The commercial pages get their own contact line and their own form, and the property manager never has to read about driveways.

Do I publish per-square-foot prices?

A range, yes. "Most parking lot overlays run $3 to $6 per square foot" is the search, and it gets the right property managers to call. You set the numbers; I will not publish one you have not confirmed.

Can the site take bid requests?

The commercial form takes the property address, rough square footage, a photo and a deadline, and it lands in your email with reply-to set so you can respond from the truck.

What about Yelp and the bid platforms?

Keep them if they send work. The site is the thing you own; those are rented. The site links to your profiles so the reviews count both ways.
