About

I started on a factory floor in San Jose.

In 2010 I was assembling electronic parts and soldering cables for a living. Sixteen years later I am a Director of Customer Support at a cybersecurity company. I still remember what the other side feels like, and that is most of the reason this business exists.

Fouro Digital is one person, in San Jose, building custom coded websites for small local businesses in English and Spanish. Not an agency, not a template shop, not a reseller. You talk to the person who writes the code.

The short version of how I got here

My first job in 2010 was as a manufacturing technician. Assembling electronic parts, soldering up to nine cables per unit, following the build sheet. After that I inspected units for quality, reading blueprints and checking forty five different parts against spec.

From there I moved into technical support, then support engineering, then pre sales engineering, and eventually into management. Today I am a Director of Customer Support at a cybersecurity company, where I am responsible for how a global team solves customer problems. Sixteen years, most of it spent on the phone or on a ticket with somebody whose thing was broken.

I mention the factory floor because most of my clients work with their hands. Plumbers, contractors, junk haulers, cooks, detailers. I know what it is like to be the person doing the actual work while somebody in an office explains your business back to you. I try very hard not to be that person.

Why I started Fouro Digital

I kept running into the same situation. Someone doing genuinely excellent work, years of experience, customers who love them, and no website. No Google listing, or one that has not been touched since somebody set it up for them. The whole business running on word of mouth.

Word of mouth works. It is the best kind of marketing there is. The problem is that it caps you at the size of your own circle, and that circle only grows so fast.

And word of mouth has moved. People still ask their friends, but then they look you up. They check whether you have a real website. They read your reviews. Increasingly they ask ChatGPT or Google's AI for a recommendation and take whatever it says. If none of that finds you, you are invisible to everybody outside the people who already know your name. Not because your work is not good. Because nobody ever set up the basics for you.

That gap is the whole business. It is not a complicated one and it does not need to be expensive.

How I work

Every site is written by hand

No WordPress, no page builder, no theme bought off a marketplace. Plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, written for your business specifically. That is why the sites load fast and why there is nothing to break when a plugin updates itself at two in the morning.

Prices are published

The pricing page lists every number. You do not have to sit through a call to find out whether you can afford it. If the answer is no, I would rather you know that in thirty seconds.

You own what you pay for

Your domain is registered in your name. The website code is yours and gets handed to you whenever you ask for it. No contract, no cancellation fee, nothing held hostage. Hosting and business email run on my accounts because I pay for them as part of your build, and if you ever leave I keep them alive for thirty days while you move.

Both languages, properly

When your customers speak Spanish, the site gets written in Spanish by someone who speaks it, not run through a translator. Each language gets its own pages so both versions can actually show up on Google.

I will tell you when you do not need me

Some businesses do not need a new website. Some need a Google Business Profile fixed and nothing else. Some need to answer their phone before they need anything digital at all. I will say so. There are only so many builds I can take at once anyway, and I would rather spend them on work that will actually help.

Background

Sixteen years in technology, currently a Director of Customer Support at a cybersecurity company. CCNA certified, 2013. Linux System Administrator certified, 2014. Both at Mission College in Santa Clara.

I am not going to pretend that a networking certification from 2013 is what makes a good website. It is not. What it means is that when your site has a redirect loop, a broken certificate, or a server that will not serve the right page, I know what I am looking at instead of filing a support ticket and hoping.

Common questions

Are you doing this full time?

No, and I would rather tell you that up front than have you find out later. I have a career in tech and this is a business I run because I want to. What it means practically is that I am not trying to squeeze every job for margin, and I am not going to disappear when a bigger client comes along. What it also means is that I take on a limited number of builds at a time. If I cannot give yours proper attention I will say so.

Why do you work with so many Spanish speaking businesses?

Because that is who kept needing the help. There are a lot of Latino and Hispanic owned businesses around San Jose doing excellent work with no website at all, running entirely on referrals. I speak the language and I know the community, so writing a site that actually sounds right in both English and Spanish is not an add-on service for me, it is just how I build.

Do you actually know how this works, or do you use a website builder?

Every site is hand written HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No WordPress, no page builder, no template marketplace. My background is technical support and systems, and I am CCNA and Linux System Administrator certified. That matters less for how the site looks and a lot for whether it loads fast and whether Google can read it.

What if I already have a website?

Then you may not need a new one. A lot of the sites I look at are fine and just have technical problems stopping Google from indexing them. I will look at yours and tell you honestly which situation you are in, at no charge.

Where to go next

The work page has real client sites you can click through and look at. The pricing page has every number. And if you want to know whether Google and AI assistants can currently find your business, there is a free ten minute check you can run yourself.

Tell me about your business

No sales pitch and nothing to sign. Tell me what you do and I will tell you what I think would help.
