Who it's for / contractors / fencing contractors

Websites for fencing contractors, built with one page per fence type because "vinyl fence" and "redwood fence" are different customers.

Fence customers search by material and by price: redwood fence cost, vinyl fence installer, chain link for the side yard. A site with a page for each material, a per-linear-foot range on each, and finished fences from the street is the one that gets the call.

Fouro Digital builds websites for fencing contractors in San Jose and across the Bay Area, including Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont and Gilroy. Fencing is a trade where the neighbor-splits-the-cost customer searches on their phone and calls the first site that gives a number, so every page on a C-13 site publishes a range and shows the fence in a real South Bay yard. I am a one-person studio in San Jose: I design, write and launch every site myself, in English and Spanish, for $2,100 fixed for the eight-page Growth build, with Google setup included. Call or text (408) 620-4106. Esta página en español.

What your customers actually type into Google

I check this against real search results in San Jose before I write a page, because the page has to match the search or it does not show. For fencing contractors the pattern is consistent:

The pages a fencing contractor website needs, and why each one exists

One page per service, because each service is its own search. A single "Services" page with everything on it ranks for nothing.

Mistakes I fix on fencing contractor websites

The honest part about fencing contractors and Google

For "fence contractor near me" the map pack and Yelp hold the top of the page and the crews with 200 reviews sit above you. A site cannot change where the customer's yard is. What it does is rank for the per-material searches, the cost searches, the cities you work and your name, which is what the neighbor types in after seeing your sign on the new fence next door.

Your license on the page: CSLB C-13

The C-13 Fencing license is required for any fence job over $1,000 in labor and materials, and it is the number a careful homeowner checks before splitting the cost with a neighbor. Homeowners check the license number on the CSLB site before they call, so it goes in the footer of every page, on the home page and on the contact page, next to the bond and insurance line. If you hold more than one classification, each one is named on the service page it covers. See every California contractor classification I build for.

Cities I build fencing contractor websites for

San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont, Gilroy and the rest of the Bay Area. A fence contractor working San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale and Milpitas gets short city pages, because "fence installation Milpitas" is a separate search. Areas I serve. Related: websites for landscaping contractors, websites for concrete contractors, websites for garage door and gate contractors.

What it costs for a fencing contractor

Most fencing contractors fit the Growth tier at $2,100, fixed. That includes Search Visibility Setup, Spanish pages, and the monthly plan starts after launch. A fencing contractor with wood, vinyl, iron and gates is an eight-page Growth build. A wood-only fence crew is usually Starter at $1,500. A single-service fencing contractor can fit Starter at $1,500.

A $525 deposit starts it and you see a preview in 24 to 48 hours. See exactly what Growth includes.

Questions fencing contractors ask me

Who builds websites for fencing contractors in the Bay Area?

Fouro Digital, a one-person web design studio in San Jose, builds websites for fencing contractors in San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, Fremont, Gilroy and the rest of the Bay Area. Most fencing contractors fit the $2,100 Growth build: eight pages, English and Spanish, Google Business Profile and Search Visibility Setup included. Call or text (408) 620-4106.

How much does a website for a fencing contractor cost in the Bay Area?

At Fouro, $2,100 fixed for the Growth build, which is what most fencing contractors need: home, wood, vinyl, iron and chain link, gates and repair, a gallery, reviews and contact, in English and Spanish. A $525 deposit starts it and you see a preview in 24 to 48 hours. The monthly plan covers hosting, domain, email and updates, with no contract. A single-service fencing contractor can fit Starter at $1,500.

Should I publish per-foot prices?

Yes. "Most redwood fences run $45 to $75 per linear foot installed" is exactly the search, and it means the customer calls already knowing your number. You set the numbers; I will not publish one you have not confirmed.

Can the site handle the neighbor splitting the cost?

The quote page says plainly that you can bill two households, if you do. It is a common question and almost no fence site answers it.

How many photos do I need?

Twenty finished fences from the street, grouped by material, is a strong start. Phone photos are fine. I compress and name every one.

What about Yelp and Thumbtack?

Keep them if they send work. The site is the thing you own; those are rented. The site links to your profiles so the reviews count both ways.
